In mid August, 2014 attorney Josh Rudolfi presented to the Workers Compensation Lawyers Association the court case, Dig Right In Landscaping v. IWCC, 2014 Il App (1st) 130410WC.  It was a claim appealed to the Illinois Appellate Court which was successfully won by Attorney Rudolfi.  The case entitles our client the right to obtain a surgery and back pay for an improperly denied worker’s compensation benefits.  The claim was highly disputed and was denied by the Arbitrator at hearing.  Attorney Rudolfi subsequently appealed the claim 3 times to obtain justice.  Rudolfi’s presentation was very well attended by both lawyers and arbitrators.  The case stands for the proposition that the Commission rules on factual disputes while appellate courts rule on disputes of law.
