From a young age, Nick Drury knew he wanted to be a trial attorney. After graduating from University of Illinois College of Law magna cum laude in 2010, Nick immediately began representing people and not insurance companies or faceless corporations. Over the next five years, he represented injured people in over a dozen jury trials. He has successfully represented catastrophically injured people in a wide variety of cases including: nursing home, medical malpractice, automobile collision, products liability, premise, and dram shop actions.
After a promising start as a plaintiff attorney, Nick joined a medical malpractice defense boutique to focus on complex medical cases. However, he was quickly disillusioned with taking marching orders from large insurance companies. When Nick had the opportunity to return to representing injured people, he wholeheartedly accepted and joined Ankin Law Office. It is a good match. Clients describe Nick as “tenacious” and “tireless” and colleagues appreciate his deep knowledge of the technical aspects of law that often impacts case outcomes.
On weekends, Nick enjoys exploring Chicago with his wife and two young children. They like to go to museums, historic locations, public parks, beaches, and explore the wonderful variety of neighborhood restaurants. Nick and his family support the Greater Chicago Food Depository, Lakeview Pantry, and Sarah’s Circle.
